Meet the Team: Lisa Meche

Carencro native Lisa Meche began working for her hometown five years ago. Her reason? As the city began to flourish, she wanted to be someone who had a helping hand in its growth.

Starting each day with a little prayer and meditation, Lisa utilizes her mornings to prioritize her duties for each day. With a degree in finance from UL Lafayette, and certifications from Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association and Louisiana Association of Municipal Secretaries and Assistants, Lisa is well-suited to carry out the tasks that are included in her duties as Assistant City Clerk. She prepares agendas for council meetings, prepares and processes accounts payable for the city, and submits grant applications on the city’s behalf, to name just a few of Lisa’s regular duties. From serving on the Veterans Memorial Committee and coordinating the Cultural District activities, including the upcoming Old-Fashioned Christmas, Lisa’s commitment to seeing Carencro grow is apparent.

Lisa enjoys being on the move outside of work, as well. Practicing yoga and taking a bike ride are her favorite ways to get some exercise. Lisa loves being able to spend time with her family. She has been married to her husband, Tony, for 36 years and has two kids, Halee Fuselier and Myles Meche. She adores her grandson Hayes Fuselier, and spoils him as often as she can!
